Robert McClung is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer who has been teaching music in the seacoast area for thirty years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Southern New Hampshire University. Robert began his professional music career in his teens, performing in local theater pit orchestras. Over the decades that followed, Robert has performed, toured, written, recorded and produced with a myriad of different musical artists from all over the world, playing many different styles of music.

 

Robert leads an instrumental, progressive, symphonic rock ensemble called Telergy. Over the course of the group’s four studio albums, it has featured members of Pink Floyd, Yes, Kansas, Foreigner, Styx, King Crimson, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Twisted Sister and Living Colour, Just to name a few. Telergy’s third album, “Hypatia” was the winner of the prestigious FNP album of the year award in 2016. In 2017 an album Robert produced for Ryan Judd landed in the top ten of the Billboard new age album chart. And in 2019 Robert was nominated for an Emmy award for best musical score in a film, for the soundtrack to “The Woodland Alchemy”.

 

Robert had led the guitar program at Lincoln Akerman School in Hampton Falls for the last fifteen Years. He currently performs as the violinist for Celtic vocalist/harpist Jenna Greene.
