Rebecca Austin-Bolster

Rebecca Austin studied with Arlene and Christopher Kies at the University of New Hampshire where she graduated with a B.A. in Piano Performance and a minor in Education. She developed a love for music at a young age and started piano lessons at age eight. In addition to SAM, Rebecca also teaches through the Piano Extension Program at UNH where she has taught for the past four years, and accompanies the Oyster River Middle School Choirs. She also dabbles in playing the organ, percussion, and the accordion.

I have loved music for as long as I can remember and enjoy sharing the gift of music with others. I have a passion for teaching and it is my goal to help my students develop a love for music while teaching them proper technique and practicing habits that ultimately lead them to be best musicians they can be. I knew early on in my journey as a pianist that I wanted to teach others how to play the instrument when I was older. I am so happy to be able to accomplish this goal everyday when I teach my students and hope to be as inspiring to them as my teachers have been to me.
