
Amanda Munton
Amanda Munton is an established vocal instructor with extensive experience teaching singers of all ages and abilities. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Plymouth State University. Amanda is a certified Somatic Voicework™ teacher, having trained with master teacher Jeanie LoVetri, and is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), where she currently serves as Vice President of Granite State Student Auditions.
Amanda has served on the voice faculty at the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University, and the Brookline Music School, and owned and operated the Munton Voice Studio for 13 years. Her broad professional background informs a teaching approach that is both rigorous and flexible, allowing her to support beginning singers, advanced students, and professional performers with equal care and effectiveness.
An active performer throughout New England, Amanda brings a wide range of performance experience into the studio. Her work includes recital performances, cross-genre collaborations, and professional recording projects spanning classical, contemporary, and rock styles. She has appeared as a guest vocalist with Grammy-nominated recording artists and composers and has contributed vocals to commercially released recordings.
Amanda’s students have earned top honors at regional NATS competitions and have gone on to study at leading institutions including the Mannes School of Music, Boston University, Boston Conservatory, Marymount Manhattan College, Roosevelt University, SUNY Purchase, the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, and UCLA’s Singer/Songwriter Program. Her students are also active professional performers on regional and international stages, as well as recording artists, songwriters, educators, choral directors, and dedicated avocational musicians.
Above all, Amanda is committed to helping each student develop reliable vocal coordination while cultivating the confidence, artistry, and skills needed to pursue their individual goals as singers—whether on stage, in the studio, or simply for the lifelong joy of making music.
