Seacoast Academy of Music Welcomes New Owner

Seacoast Academy of Music is entering an exciting new chapter. After 25 years of building a school rooted in community, collaboration, and the joy of music-making, founder Christine Petrucci has passed the torch of ownership to Amanda Munton, Munton Music Studios, LLC.

A Message from SAM Founder, Christine Petrucci

A world of thanks to all our students, teachers, musicians, and community of families who have joined me in pursuing my passion for embracing the art of teaching music. I originally established Seacoast Academy of Music in September 2001 in the Drake Farm Antique Book Barn on Route 1. In January of 2006 SAM moved into its current home, the historic Centennial Hall at 105 Post Road in North Hampton . And now, in our 25th year, we celebrate its continuing success by welcoming a new owner, Amanda Munton, Munton Music Studios. Amanda’s experience and positive energy will carry on as Seacoast Academy of Music in Centennial Hall and build upon our mission and values inspiring creativity and joy.

I shall continue as piano instructor and admin/consulting team.

Musically yours,

Christine Petrucci

A Message from SAM Director, Amanda Munton

Seacoast Academy of Music holds special meaning for me. It was the first place I taught after graduate school twenty-one years ago—a space that allowed me to grow as a young voice instructor and gain firsthand insight into the profound impact of private music instruction. Teaching is a continual exchange: while we share our expertise, we also learn deeply from our students, shaping our approach so we can help uncover and nurture the musical creativity within each individual.

From its beginning, the Academy has been defined by community—a shared commitment to artistry, growth, and a love of music. Returning now as director and owner feels both meaningful and humbling. I am deeply grateful to Christine Petrucci for the care, vision, and leadership she brought to this school. Her dedication to community, faculty, and the joy of music-making created a strong foundation—one I am fully committed to honoring and building upon.

As the Academy continues to grow, my focus remains on fostering a welcoming musical environment where learning can evolve, creativity can flourish, and students of all ages can develop their skills, collaborate with others, and share their music with confidence. I am excited for what lies ahead and look forward to welcoming you into this next chapter at Seacoast Academy of Music!
