The Year of Community Music

We welcome 2017 as our “Year of Community Music” and our 17th year as a music school!

While we celebrate this anniversary, North Hampton celebrates its 275th year!

We implore you to really take advantage of the “Year of Community Music” and get involved with some of our community-based ensembles:

Monday night Jazz Band with Zach Lange: Learn jazz riffs, rhythms and harmonies. Learn some Jazz History. Get to solo and have a great time.

Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced String Ensembles with Stephen Poirier(6 Thursdays – view dates):
Stephen has the magic touch of bringing out the very best in all his ensembles students. Repertoire include works by Vivaldi to original fun-loving melodies. Dust off that old violin and join Stephen.

Ukulele Group by Donation with Cyndy Carlton (weekly Tuesdays 1:00-2:00pm and Wednesdays TBA ):
Ever-popular group getting gigs and smiling all the way!

Cello Ensemble by Donation with Richard Hsin Hou Sun (2/04, 3/04, 4/07 and 5/05 from 6:30–7:30pm):
Explore the truly beautiful sound of playing cello with other cellists. Richard’s arrangements are tailored to the students in his class.

Adult Fiddling by Donation with Liz Faiella, new SAM Fiddle Teacher (2/17, 3/10, 4/14, and 5/12 from 6:30 – 7:30pm):
Liz earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dartmouth College as the 2012 salutatorian. She teaches techniques and repertory in a variety of fiddling traditions including Irish, Scottish, New England and Old -Time. She is also an accomplished performer and Folk Singer along with her brother Dan Faiella at premier folk venues and contra dances around New England including the Boston Celtic Music Festival, New England Folk Festival, Club Passim, New Hampshire Public Radio Folk Show with Kate McNally and at the Scottish Club of the Twin States Robert Burns Banquet. Currently, she teaches at the Concord Community Music School in Concord, NH, and at her home studio.
